Frequently Asked Questions
Using the Product
How do I use this?
1. Wash the affected area with warm water and pat dry.
2. Scoop a small amount of New Aura cream and massage it in for 2–3 minutes using circular motions.
3. Let your skin absorb it. No need to rinse.4. Use 2–3 times daily and keep going for a few days after symptoms fade to stop flare-ups from sneaking back in.
PRO TIP: Use after the shower when your skin is warm and pores are open — it soaks in better and hits deeper.
Where can I use this?
Anywhere you're dealing with flaking, itching, or irritation. It's commonly under the beard, on the scalp, around the nose, eyebrows, or hairline. Just keep it external and avoid contact with eyes.
Can I combine this with other products?
You can, but it's not usually necessary. Our formula is designed to work on its own. If you do combine it, keep other products lightweight and avoid layering heavy oils directly on top.
Is this safe to use daily or just during flare-ups?
It’s safe for daily use, whether you're managing a flare-up or keeping things under control. Some guys use it consistently; others just apply when needed. Do what works for your skin.
Results & Expectations
How long until I see results?
Most people notice reduced itch and redness within 1–2 days, and flaking improves noticeably by day 4–7 with consistent use.
Does this help with itch or just flakes?
Both. It targets the underlying cause, which helps stop itch, reduce redness, and calm inflammation — not just mask the flakes.
What if it worked at first and then stopped?
It could mean the fungus flared back up due to a trigger (like sweat, oil, or stress). Keep using it consistently and avoid applying other oily products over it.
Beard + Skin Impact
Will this dry out my hair or beard?
No it’s not a drying formula. It targets the skin, not the hair. Your beard or hair will stay soft, and your skin won’t feel stripped or tight after using it.
Is it greasy? Can I use it before work?
Not greasy at all. It absorbs quickly and leaves a clean, matte finish. Totally fine to use in the morning before heading out.
Is it safe for sensitive skin or eczema?
Yes, but everyone’s skin is different. Our formula is designed to be gentle and steroid-free. If you’re unsure, spot test a small area first.
Ingredients + Formulation
What ingredients are in this?
The active ingredient is 2% salicylic acid, which helps reduce flaking, redness, and irritation. It's combined with soothing botanicals like Centella Asiatica, niacinamide, green tea extract, and skin-repairing agents like ceramides, hyaluronic acid, and collagen.
Is this steroid-free?
Yes, completely steroid-free. We use salicylic acid as the main active, backed by natural extracts and barrier-supporting ingredients to keep it gentle on your skin, even with long-term use.
Will this damage my skin barrier?
No, in fact, it’s designed to help calm inflammation without stripping or weakening your barrier. No alcohols or drying agents.
Does it contain anything that feeds fungus?
Nope. We specifically avoided oils and esters that feed Malassezia (the fungus behind seb derm). That’s what makes New Aura different.
What makes this different from ketoconazole, ciclopirox, or beard oils?
Ketoconazole and ciclopirox are strong antifungals, but they can be harsh and over-drying. Beard oils often make seb derm worse. New Aura strikes the middle ground: effective antifungal action without wrecking your skin.
